As for now your just taking away our achievment that took us a long time, and we aren't getting anything in return..

Note: I also realise that the post could sound completely and utterly sarcastic, however it's not. It's sincere they are honest questions.
I do understand that, I really do... However...
The gaming standard has changed since Helbreath first opened 7+ years ago now. Previously all games had the same grind to max level. People don't have time to and don't want to spend that long to get max level. Jus t like cars, microwaves, television watching and every other thing in your life has progressed so too has the ‘gaming industry’ this includes Helbreath– it’s been made easier. Very few people new players would stick around if they knew it was going to take months if not a year to get max level. Oh yeah and that character that you leveled thinking that getting 50 charm for the cheaper items when you first started isn’t quite the direction you want to take the character in any more is now something that will add a few months on to the end… People just would not do it. In order to compete with other games and attention spans things have to change, the exp is one of them. Yes I’m aware that the EXP is not the be all and end all of HBUSAs current issues but it’s something that helps. Along with a higher EXP rate there is also more drops. Hunting and being rewarded is a good thing for HBUSA as well. More people= more hunting // more hunting = more PvP // more PvP = more people // more people = more fun // more fun = more people --- and so on.
Granted the EXP was higher on the IG than intended, but it's also HBs 7th Anniversary and it was left for people who were subscribing and supporting to the game to enjoy while they could. It's impossible to please everyone, absolutely impossible. People came back to HBUSA because they heard about the exp and wanted to join in on it, but now it's no longer around they've gone again. What good is your sword and other item if you've got nothing to do with it? The pits are huge attractions for both PvE and PvP. I can't prevent an entire server having fun because a handful of people took years to accomplish something. But at least you’ve still got your sword? (I know that could be read sarcastic, it’s not)
(Remember, this is not sarcastic, these are sincere and to the point questions) I'd be fine with giving a token gesture or some way to acknowledge that you did it a long time ago, but what? What would make you feel better? When should the cutoff be on when people got their swords / wands / angels to X? Are angels included at all? Should it be cut off at max upgrading or is +12 old school just not the same as +15? Is the wand less of an achievement because it's already upgraded slightly? Would you base it on people doing it solo or sharing the account? Keeping in mind that iEnt doesn't support account sharing. Would you do it for people who’ve been playing all along excluding people who’ve unsubscribed throughout the years and come back here and there? Would you do it for subscribed or free players? etc

I don't think anyone has a problem with making it easy(er) to get Max Level. Make that as easy as you want, I don't think anybody really cares. But the things that come after that, DK/DM and angels, those are rewards. Those are about bragging rights (which are EXTREMELY important in these games....that hasn't changed over time), and are the result of perseverance ONLY. They cannot be obtained by luck, you HAVE to work for them. That's where the prestige factor comes in. By cheapening it all, it cuts out a very significant part of the motivational structure of the game. Players don't NEED DK or angels to play, so "depriving" people of them won't affect them significantly. But having them out there gives a goal to work for, and a "trophy" they can be proud of -- and show off. If anybody can get them without doing much for them, the lustre is gone and an important aspect of the game has been lost.
You said you want more better-geared players. You've accomplished that tremendously with the various scav events, while at the same time giving old players some new challenges. That's the direction things need to go, IMO -- new ideas, new concepts, new challenges -- not watering down and devaluing existing things that "old" players have paid very, very dearly for in terms of effort.
Another significant part of the problem, I think, is lack of new goals. Old players get double exp week, too, but so what? What's in it for them? New goals need to be added, otherwise people that have already achieved "everything" are just standing still, watching while everyone else catches up, with no real way to move themselves forward.

And I understand all that as well. But as I asked in the previous post, what would you want for bragging rights? I could see about changing the colour of your weapons to show that it was done "old style", people would see that? I could give you a shield of some description that doesn't do anything other than acknowledge that you got the weapon upgraded. If I don't know what you want or a ball park of what you're thinking I can't do anything. I could think of something but it might not be what you're after, or if I get an idea of what you'd appreciate I can see if it's possible to do that or something else similar etc... the term throw me a bone comes to mind lol.
I'm totally not against giving credit where it's due and having leveled my character to 180 (twice with the help of friends) I really really do understand how difficult it was to do and the accomplishment behind it. Give me an idea of what you'd be after or ok with etc and we can go from there.
I'm also not sure what topic I said it in, I'm also after ideas for making Maj points useful beyond the DK sword & angels. So if you've got anything along those lines let me know as well.

Re: 7th Anniversary!
These forums are a wonder, I can see your original post. The use is I’m asking a question on what you want in order to make you happy and you’re not answering, so how can I help if you’re not giving me information? Telling me that it’s pissed you off in a post that’s 5 paragraphs long and going off on tangents likening the experience to being raped, is exaggerating and doesn’t help. I’ve said I understand that it took a long time, you don’t need to tell me how many hours or show me how much experience it took. I know it.
What I don’t know and what I’m asking you and the others to do is help with is telling me what you want. I can’t undo exp, I can’t take back their weapons now and say – Sorry, you can’t have this because people who did it years ago took longer and are now upset, so you have to wait another year before you can use it.
I agree that getting the hero set is slightly more difficult because of the population now appose to what it was when others got it. I’m also open to ideas on hero armor and looking in to the possibilities there, but that’s for another topic.
If you’re going to post again on the subject answer the question, don’t go off on a tangent. That wont help to move the discussion on or bring it about to a resolution.

Re: 7th Anniversary!
I see this as the same as someone trading all their items for ESW, then 2 weeks later...you are able to buy ESW in the Magic Shop. It's like...wtf!?!? And that's just ITEMS...that isn't TIME. Why not just put all the items available to buy in the Cash Shop? Allowing people to get dk+15 weapons so rapidly just ruined this server. It wouldn't have made a difference to allow someone to get max level in 10 minutes, but getting maj pts is completely different. I think that if this server is going to cater to the new players rather than the old and loyal players, why not just do a server wipe of all characters and items, then implement these new changes?
THERE IS NO WAY TO COMPENSATE SOMEONE FOR THE TIME THEY PUT IN, which is why no one has answered that question.

The cutoff is very simple - look in the logs, any character getting +12 or above before all of this exp give-aways started regulary are people who worked for it - simple.

no ---- warcraft is a different league than helbreath..I was replying to her post about working for the ---- in wow that will be no good in 2months..bc better will be available..however, making it so easy to get dk15 weapons doesn't compare to that, because there is nothing more to work for, and with out the source, this won't be obsolete in 2 months.
people shouldn't be able to get the dk15 so easy is the point here...i was not trying to compare hb to wow

So, before 2006? because that was when the first EXP was given out. 2008 and beyond was really heavy into EXP give aways. Not to mention the overall EXP rates have been increased over time.
I would also like to remind all of you guys . . . This is a game. Games are for entertainment. The only thing you truely "lost" was time, which apparently wasn't very important anyway considering you spent it playing a game.

Re: 7th Anniversary!
Last February, just before you got DK+15, there was double experience the entire month plus pixies. You made use of it like everyone else (and why shouldn't you?), but I did not see you complaining about it. What is so different now? I know, you got your sword, lol. Anyways, I am sure Avour did this for the better of the game and not to piss some people off.

i got it half way through the month.. not after lol
diffrence is that i was gonna get the sword either way - 99% of these new dk+15 swords is that they havent worked at all for it - and they sertainly wouldnt leave the warehouse without these bonuses...

Re: 7th Anniversary!
im sorry to bother everyone but i wanted to post my opinions.... This game flux's a bit.. well populated to ghost town. their only trying every way possible to increase the game population. yes their may be some problems but they fix it. to come on here and complain is well a waste of time. its understandable the frustration that you feel. i would prob feel it to if i was in your shoes. but i have been playing a year about now and well im not even lvl 180 yet.... the exp is kinda low.. yes it might have been set a little to high in the p2p maps but other maps wer fine. to complain about something just shows... you spend to much time in game. no game should make you feel like you wasted time.

4x ? is that wrong?
10x ? is that wrong?
Nope - I heard that you could get like 40k rolls (very easily) in IGs just 1 week ago, if that isnt 10x then call me mr. potatoe
4x is what ient calls "2x" - normal rolls were like 3k or so then in the exp weeks it was like 12k-15k so that is 4x...
I don't know why I'm trying to argue with you - your way to blue eyed.. :\

Re: 7th Anniversary!
Brage you seem to be confused. The BASE exp has slowly been raised over the years. It is indeed probably at 10x BASE by now, if not higher. What you SPECIFICLY said in your post was "2x-4x-10x - exp weeknds/weeks/month " which is in reference to the EXP events. The highest any event EVER was one time, 3x in P2P maps for a week.
Check your facts kid.

i left after they ruined it, not before..
well they obviously dont follow the advise of anyone else then the "new players", giving out tons of exp and their latest ----; handing out some "copper" to upgrade all your armour, making *a lot* of the players having hp91 armour/cape etc, which before was some low stated armour/cape

Re: 7th Anniversary!
There was a few, as in less than a handful of 91% items made not "*a lot*".
However the event required people to go out and PvE their little hearts out 7 times to get an upgrade for the anniversary event. People who wouldn't normally have claimed something from an event were actually claiming upgrades and now have decent items to show for all their efforts. It wasn't a small task to upgrade your armor. You either had to spend hours upon hours grinding on monsters or trade your socks off to get the coppers.
I really wish people would stop being so damn negative about events that allow everyone an equal chance to upgrade their armor AND weapons. This was exactly that. An equal chance for anyone who has an item in game to upgrade it.The more time you spent doing it the greater the reward. Maybe that's the problem, that special item that you cherish so much, that people have never traded away anyway... is now worth a little less to trade because someone else who isn't going to trade it has one... I don't see why it's such a horrible thing that people who had 7% -> 14% armor are now supporting 42+% armors. They were active and will more than likely become more involved and invested in to the game since they have better.
Some people drive me absolutly potty when it comes to events. The events need to be worth playing and being involved with. They need to be something that is equal as possible for all to take part in. It needs to be something that everyone can get something out of if they wanted. Not 1 person on the server has all their items at max level stats. So everyone could have taken part in the event or alternatively taken part in an EK spree in the pits that were more popular if that's your thing.
I personally think that this was one of the better events ever since people who were out there farming were the ones who claimed the rewards. It was fantastic to go through the tickets and see people who normally wouldn't have won an "EK spree" or a "collection" event.
People have said that it's damn near impossible to get a decent drop.
Heaven forbid events that involve taking part in the game to upgrade those terrible drops and turning them in to what people want them to be, something worth picking up.

Re: 7th Anniversary!
Very well said, only you forgot to say that most of the ones complaining only log in once a week if at all. The people who do play all the time liked it, and thanks you for the event.

I said a lot of people have them now, not like they got sets of them etc
The copper event isnt the worst though, its "ok" i guess, but as i've said a billion times, its the exp fests that ticked me off
